New Appointments at the Board
Honorary Chairman of Shenkar Board of Governors -
Architect David J. Azrieli C.M. C.Q.
Architect Azrieli was declared Honorary Chairman of Shenkar Board of Governors on the 10th May at the Board of Governors meeting.
Architect David Azrieli who celebrated his 85th birthday on the same day was accompanied by his daughter Danna, a member of the Board of Governors and a member of the Management Committee. At the meeting he was given an inspirational gift of a dove perched on a rock on the occasion of his birthday and to express Shenkar's appreciation of his ongoing support of the College.
The inscription on the plaque read – "to Architect David J. Azrieli C.M., C.Q.
on the occasion of your 85th birthday - An architect, entrepreneur and developer whose projects changed the Israeli skyline. "
In an impromptu speech Architect Azrieli recollected how, 20 years ago, when he first opened the Ayalon Mall which he conceived and built in Ramat Gan, it was Shenkar students who helped design the Mall shop windows.
New Chairman of the Management Committee - Mr. Yosi Lev
Yosi Lev is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He served his military service in the legal department of the Israel Defence Forces as a military prosecutor and later during his reserve service as a military judge.
In 1972 he established the swimwear company Klil Yofi Ltd. – owner of the brand names Pilpel and Gidon Oberson. He served as General Manager of the company and is one of its proprietors. In 1994 the company reached the status of the largest company of its kind in Israel and Europe.
From 1997 – 2005 Lev served as a consultant to leading European companies such as M & S, Zara Spain, Dunnes Ireland and several Italian companies.
Today he is the General Manager of a European construction company specializing in residential apartment buildings in Eastern Europe.
New Chairman of the British Friends of Shenkar -
Mr. Richard Schiffer 
Richard Schiffer is both an American lawyer and English solicitor. He specialises in international
commercial transactions and provides General Counsel advice and representation to multinational corporations and entrepreneurial private clients, most of whom are Israeli or doing business with Israel.
For Shenkar he is the Chairman of the British Friends of Shenkar College and the CEO of Shenkar Technologies Ltd., an English company commercialising the intellectual property of Shenkar. Richard is also the founder and Chairman of the ADR Group, one of the leading mediation services in Europe, and in that connection he is the Treasurer and a Director of the English Civil Mediation Counsel.
